🌼 A new video + (FREE) Waldorf doll patterns that started it all

What's New!

My newest video + some free sewing patterns!

Hello friends,

I just uploaded a new YouTube video that feels especially personal and a little vulnerable for me.

In it, I talk about my journey trying to start a sewing business over the years — including the handmade items I tried (and failed) to sell on Etsy — and how I eventually found a way to earn money from sewing without selling anything at all.

In this video I share a little about:

  • my failed Etsy shop
  • why blogging ended up being a much better fit for me
  • building a sewing business without social media
  • free sewing patterns
  • AI-generated patterns 👎 and why I still draft everything by hand 👍
  • and what’s ahead for Quiet Life Farm

One thing that felt especially meaningful while making this video was realizing that some of the very first patterns I ever shared on my blog were actually the same ones I couldn’t sell on Etsy as completed products years ago.

Ironically, now that they’re free patterns, they’ve become some of the most loved projects on my website.

So I thought it would be fitting to share them with you again here:

Extra Large Waldorf Doll

If you're looking for a nice and big waldorf pattern, this one is 20" tall!

Waldorf Baby Doll

If you want a waldorf doll sewing pattern that also has a video tutorial, this one is for you!

These patterns have been sewn and knitted by so many wonderful people over the years, and it’s been such a joy seeing the dolls you’ve made for children, grandchildren, charities, and hospitals around the world. Thank you for your kindness towards those around you.

And if you’d like to watch the new video, you can find it here.

Thank you so much for being here and for supporting my work. It truly means more to me than I can say.

Warmest wishes,

Emeline
